You're gonna have to wait, at the *very* least, until the next-gen cards are actually available. And I'm not expecting much movement until the 6800NU (supposed retail price: $299) hits the street, which could be several months from now. Introducing a $500 card won't do much except maybe push the prices of today's super-high-end parts down a bit; it's certainly not going to have much pricing impact on anything already in the $200 range.

Disagree. FS says 6800s in a month.

You won?t have to wait much longer, fortunately. The first GeForce 6800 and 6800 Ultra boards should be hitting retail a little over a month from now.
