Well I have to say that I have a different feeling about this 42PX60U. At $1299 or $999, whatever how you cut it this an AWESOME BUY
AND A GREAT TV. Well the guys at Comcast came by and told me that I using the Coax input vs. the HDMI input. Wow what a difference.
The colors and depth are amazing. Make sure that when you buy the TV that you select the HDMI cable. It automatically defaults to the
coax input.

Once you get the settings to the way you like them you will notice the strands of hair, facial expressions, skin tones, black levels, and color rendition of this plasma! Highly recommended!

If you plan on buying the laptop or plasma, remember to get in line EARLY.

For whatever reason Black Friday is all over the news ;) so it's going to be even more popular this year.

Good luck, you're gonna need it :)

I agree - this TV is a great deal at either price. If you have a choice, ask around about the best cable/satellite carrier too. I got Comcast HD when I first got my TV and I thought it looked good. When FIOS came into my neighborhood I got it and it makes the Comcast look like ass! Even the basic SD channels look superior compared to the Comcast. I've heard that satellite looks really good too.

Wawa weee waa!!! I have a 10% CC coupon, and Citibank just told me that I will get a 10% statement credit for DEPARTMENT STORE purchases on my statement.

Does CC count as a department store, or should I go price match this at Sears?

The 10% off coupon I was referring to is an online coupon, you can buy the TV online and pick in-store pickup. This way you don't pay for shipping and get to use the coupon. Hotdealsclub also has the same coupon you can use in store. YMMV on that one.

The BestBuy price is really awesome for this one. Wonder if they'll price match it if you purchase in advance.

A tip to people getting this, when watching SD in 4:3 mode, you can turn the gray bars off on the side, looks a lot better (of course, I may have been the only one who didn't realize this, and watched tv with the gray bars for a few hours today :) )

I believe CC will not price match BB price @ $999.99, since it is a door buster price and there are limited quantities. Now I can understand if there was a full day and have at least 20 on-hand.

Also I believe they will not honor the 10% off coupon as well. I tried and they did not honor it. I also called the 800 number of CC and they said that I would have to take it up with the store. So I will see if they will honor it and I will go back to a different CC instead.

I just returned my H20 DTV Receiver without any problems. That makes my total $970 out-the-door not including the $200 possible Panasonic rebate. My install and delivery is next Tuesday.:)

I called CC and they said no way they'll match BB because its a "One day only sale" and not a regular price...

I ended up buying it from them anyway...since I wanted to finance it through 2009

I thought it was part of CC pricematch policy to match sales prices as well. I don't see why the one day makes a difference.

I guess it's always worth a try.

With respect to the 10% coupon, you can use the online one and then choose in-store pickup when purchasing. This way you don't have to talk to anyone in store and I know the coupon works online.

Just posted this in the other thread, but the Southlands BestBuy in Denver was selling these out of the warehouse, and had 190 of them left at 9am. There's a good chance there might still be some available at your local store - I called over first to check though. Picking mine up at the store after 5pm today...

I went to CC today and they gave me a price adjustment from $1299 to $1199. I am feeling good right now! I can still get more price adjustments
within 30 days. Great deal!
