Your right. Ordered 2 so far.for 384mb. Do you think if I have 512 in the system will increase the performance?
Perhaps it will increase performance but so little you may never notice. In some situations more memory can decease performance.
My board maxed out at 384mb according to Crucial website.

You *may* feel it if you are an autocad engineer, a graphic artist, a ray tracing enthusiast, or an inveterate gamer, or an astrophysisist, but for most of us the best we can hope for is that at that level of RAM we will see no swapping to the hard drive.
Of course that doesn't meant that Office 2002 with Whistler 4.2 installed won't need all you can throw at it. More RAM is almost never a bad thing.

Any RAM can be forced to CAS2... the right questions to ask is, can it be ran at CAS2 and if your motherboard's BIOS setting supports it.
Usually RAM is defaulted to run at CAS3 which means that it takes 3 clocks before data appears on the pins of the RAM. CAS2 just means data will appear after 2 clocks instead of 3. For some RAM, this requirement is too high... ie data valid data will not appear after two clocks resulting in "garbage" therefore, the systems hangs... or after several of these, the system will hang... and sometimes result in data loss and even corruption.
The PC133 means the RAM can be run at a Front Side Bus (FSB) of 133Mhz. Dont be fooled into buying RAM that can do CAS2 at PC100. PC133 is backwards compatible with PC100 FSB motherboards.
Hopefully that answers some questions.

Well, thank you for the explaination but I already was well aware of all of that. I know that your board must support the features which mine does cause I am currently running at these settings. My question was for anyone familiar with this particular ram module if it would run stablely and reliably at cas 2?

Umm I actually did look and I can read pretty well too. I try to not pay attention to what web sites say about products. I am aware of the rams rating. Bit just as right now I havea piece of PC100 CL2 running at 133 CL2 and I also have a piece of PC133 Cl3 running at 133 Cl2. So..rating don't mean anything. But not all ram will overclock in that manner. Sch as the recent buy.com deal with kingston ram with sanyo chips which will not even post at cl2. So I was asking for real world opinions. thanks
