I am thinking about selling two items and replace it with one item that can do both and well...

My kenwood 42x cd-rom (never had one issue in 2 years, reads every cd-r I ever tried) w/ original manual and box...

My BTC 8x32x dvd-rom(rebadged I don't know what) w/ PowerDVD 2.55 software w/ manual and box...

The dvd-rom is a slow cd reader that is why I kept the kenwood which reads data cds faster (for loading) and rips dae info so I can burn cd on the fly at fastest rate with my aopen 1232a...

I want to get close to the amount to get the Aopen 16x48x dvd-rom which is supposed to read data quite well 44x and even kills my kenwood at DAE rips...plus the faster dvd portion to rip dvds near 1.5 to 2x faster...

Please give me a reasonable idea I can ask for...Think price for e6ay as well as I know a lot of anandtechers are tight with there money in the for sale section...maybe a high low number would be good...

alot of 8x dvd-roms are like 35 and up but many are with out software just oem bare drive...software must be worth a few bucks as well...

I've seen DVD/CD-RW drives. You might want to look into that, but I don't know if any would be better than your current setup.

Thanks renob, I was thinking about 20-25 for kenwood drive and 40 for the dvd-rom (less then year old)cause it is a full retail box with powerdvd software...I saw a few 12x drives for 40+ before shipping but they were bare drives, and I now the software could run 19.95 minimum...
