Price Dropped today on this nice board! Nice board if you don't need all the bells and whistles like Raid or SATA. I am upgrading my ECS board to this one until the prices come down on all the newer boards. Plus I picked up an Agoia Malaysia 1600 CPU from Newegg for $51.99 when they were on sale a week back, time to OC and play :D

UPDATE: Price Changed 11.15.02 up to $81 now

LOL. Naw, I like some insane people running around the forums. It adds texture.

BTW, that motherboard is great. My only complaint is that it doesn't have VCore voltages above 1.85, but I can run my AGIOA xp1600 at 1.9 GHZ with it. not too shabby. That's a 500 mhz OC.

Thanks for the post. The KT3 looks quite sweet and the newer KT400-chipset motherboards don't offer much new options to make them more attractive.

Another nice thing is that it has support for 333Mhz FSB to lengthen the upgrade life of this board. That's pretty nice at $77.00 imho!

Since MSI offers no warranty support to the enduser, what does Newegg
offer---except, in my case, go to the manufacturer, who then advise going
to the reseller-----Catch 22 ????? At least Compgeeks show clearly the
length of warranty for each item.

Yea, Newegg raised prices again, Now $81...they seem to be doing this alot lately, I think when stock is high they lower, and when it shrinks they raise prices. Yes it does have the dividers, I will try to find the article on it, but their are plenty of reviews out there on this board, and it is a solid performer, very stable, and has good overclocking ability, not to mention the low price.

I bought the RAID version of the MSI Kt3 Ultra 2-R from Newegg, a few months back. Initially, I installed the board and think somehow I broke a trace somewhere and had to RMA it back to Newegg. They took it back and sent me a replacement and covered the shipping costs. The new board works wonderfully. I have been running it for a few months and have not crashed at all, ever. I overclcock it a bit (140 mhz FSB) but can't do more cause my CPU is locked and I haven't bothered to unlock it. As far as I can tell, this board will handle 166mhz FSB with no problems. There is officical support for 2400+ and 2600+ cpu's at the moment, but I'll bet they update the bios for the 2700+ and 2800+ soon.

For $81, if you're on a budget, totally go for this board.

If you can spend $150, I'd get an Nforce2 Asus A7N8X.

As far as I read, it officially supports 333Mhz FSB (166x2). I'll work on finding the link where I read it. CPU wise, it definitely 100% (unless they are blatantly lying) OFFICIALLY supports 2700+ processors which can be verified by checking out the link I posted previously.

Which I will repost here.

If you check the CPU support section you will also see an entry for the 2700+ processor. As far as actual 333Mhz FSB implementation, its listed in the same link as above. I hope this clears up everything.:D
