Prey (PC) $12.99 and Prey CE $14.99 (+S&H each)

Nice find on a decent game. Took all of 6 months for this title to hit bargain-bin prices. It just goes to show you how delicate PC gaming is at the moment.
 
The CE is $14.99 at newegg + $4.99 S&H. CE at amazon thru J&R is $17.99 + $6.35 shipping. Though I was never good at math, I think $19.98 is less than $24.34. Also, both the versions at newegg are the PC versions.
 
I don't get it, why this game is so cheap? I bought it at amazon $20 CE shipped, then J&R had it for couple bucks more shipped, now newegg has it for the same price, all the same time when Far Cry which is way older still costs same or more ($19.99). I thought about picking up FEAR, but it's still sold at $30, a stupid extension to FEAR is $20...
 
Tks, looks like I might pickup. I just bought FEAR and am playing it now, incredible game..Question for folks reading this thread, how does Prey compare to FEAR?

I am playing Prey now (I've already played FEAR). It's pretty entertaining. The portal idea if kinda cool (initially really cool but it wears off a bit). The gravity "sidewalks" also add a nice element to the game, as does spirit walk. Not revolutionary, but definitely different. I waited until I could get it for $20 and feel like I've definitely gotten my money's worth.

As compared to FEAR, the story line isn't doesn't realy draw you along in unpredictable ways. Also, you are on a space ship most of the time so there aren't any open outside areas like there are in FEAR. But definitely a decent game.
 
Super swanky! I've been wanting to get this game and this is the perfect use of the $20 Paypal credit from their holiday offer. :thumbsup:
 
i just got the CE today...cool..comes with little figurines and an artbook...
or course the kids got them... 😉

Good deal, I liked this game when I played it, it may not be the best fps I've ever played, but it was certainly among them.
