Preview before printing for any printer?

I had HP and Canon inkjet printers that both had an option in the driver to automatically show a preview of the printed page(s) before actually starting the print job.

I've upgraded to Samsung and Brother laser printers. Neither of them have this feature. Is there a way to enable this using a third party application?

Many propietary programs I use don't have a built-in print preview function and sometimes it's unpredictable how many pages will come out after I click on print.

I've heard of a software called Fineprint, haven't used it though.

I used it many years (10+) ago for printing multiple pages on a single sheet.

It would popup the first page and ask you what arrangement you wanted. 1,2,4,8.
It then would take your selection, reformat and print to the designated printer.

At the time it was shareware.

You could always print to a PDF and look at that before doing the final print job.

CutePdf is a nice light-weight, FREE, utility that you can print to. I use it quite a bit and it really helps.
CutePdf

Yes, it is. But I posted a link so he can find out about it.

Putting up the link is appreciated.

My second post was intended to be an acknowledgment that we were discussing the same utility not a jab.
