If you want to prevent your manager from screwing you over on a deposit.. from "claimed" damages.. how can you make sure this doesnt happen (besides taking pictures.. what kind of pictures should be taken.. ?)???

Would a money order not bought at a bank.. be easily cashed without being able to prove who cashed it?

Thanks, but my manager seems sketchy...

Manager = landlord? What's this about money orders? They'll cash it regardless and give you the money back when you move out.

I want to rent the "club house", she tells me the complex has a new policy beceause of a previous inccident...

I ask for a form for the new policy to take and review .. and sign to bring the money in .. the manager tries to print it.. she "claims here printer is not working"... but I saw she was trying to print an email..didnt look like a legit form.. [ sort of messes with the printer.. I coudlnt see what was going on...]... so I say.. thats okay.. you can email me the file... she "fakes to email me the file.." ... [thats what I supsected but i couldnt see the screen.. she doesnt attach any file].. I go home check my email.. no file was attached... I go back.. 2-3 mins later .. she has already locked the office door.. she is not gone yet.. I knock.. but the door is already locked.. she doesnt open.

management = a company not landlords

Anyways...

I havent been scammed out of anythign yet.. that's the reason I posted here. I wanted to see if anyone here had any suggestions. I havent even bought the money order.

I live in Califorina, I am asking for a signed "contract" which I supsect she will be writing tomorrow morning.
