preventing/dispelling smell of cigarette smoke

Ok, so I have a housemate who smokes more than I thought she would- she's very considerate about it (never smokes inside, is always staying downwind of nonsmokers when she's smoking, etc. But I'm worried that since our rooms are right next door, that "smoker's smell" (you know exactly just what I'm talking about, and how horrible it is) will start to bleed over into my room. Even if I got used to it (god forbid), I'd rather my stuff didn't smell like smoke.

Anyway. Is there any kind of air freshener/scented something/odor dispeller that I can spray, or hang up somewhere to forestall this happening? I know I'll probably just have to suck it up and deal, but if there was a solution, I figured ATOT would probably know.
Thanks.

Cliffs: Roommate smokes. I'd rather my stuff didn't smell like smoke. Help.

Anything that doesn't cost Sharper Image prices?
But thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into one.

Mm, no thanks. I'm already going to school in Santa Cruz, and there are a few stereotypes I'd just as soon avoid as much as is possible.

You can get them for pretty cheap at Fry's if you have one in your area.

The smell still lingers on their person, clothes, and breath after they are finished.

If she's not smoking inside (you said she didn't smoke indoors), I doubt you'll smell it much in the next room.

You're overreacting.

To make it clear for the reading comprehension impared:

she's very considerate about it (never smokes inside

SHE IS NOT SMOKING INSIDE

He's worried about the latent smell of smoke from her body and her clothes coming into his room.

He's overreacting.

Ionic Breeze rocks. And for those b!tching about the cost, keep an eye on SI's Refurb Store. You can often pick them up for $199 or less.

SHE smells. But her odor is not going to spread to other rooms, or leave a lingering odor in the house.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. If she smokes outside, the smell is only going to cling to her hair and clothes.

If you really are that paranoid, get some febreeze air effects and febreeze for fabrics.

Are you serious? The smoke smell is not so bad that if youre smoking outside the smoke smell will seep into rooms around you. Get real man.

com'on, I have some sympathy for the guy

everyday at work, multiple times a day, a smoker would walk by my cube..trust me his smell travelled in for a few seconds, and no he wasn't smoking inside

is it a big deal? no, but it is an annoyance
i wouldn't want my stuff to smell like smoke either
