prev recorded mp2 file won't play after win2k reinstall

I recorded a video clip using an ATI all in wonder Radeon a few months ago as a mp2 file. After having to reinstall win2k a few days ago I can't get it to play. I can hear the sound, but can't view the video. I downloaded and installed ATI's legacy codecs most of which weren't installed with ATI's newer radeon driver and multimedia player in order to get my old avi files to work correctly. I still can't get this mp2 file to work.

Any ideas?

You'll need to also install the ATI DVD player to install the mpeg-2 codecs needed for *.mp2 file playback.
