Not as good as the 50% off from last month but still good LINKY

4-Port Cable/DSL Gateway Router (Refurbished) $18.75 Price drop now $7.49

Wireless Cable/DSL Gateway Router (Refurbished) $29.99

Thanks! Ordered a wireless USB adapter for $17.99 plus a USB 2.0 2-port PCI card for $6.39 (after the 20% discount) plus $7.50 shipping (oh, well, the discount almost makes up for the shipping). Wish I'd gotten in on the 50% off earlier, but will settle for these prices gladly.

Just ordered the Wireless DSL/Cable router with the 20% coupon. Thanks SK7. 😀 Any news if this is a decent wireless router to a second floor notebook?

Woo Hoo...
Wireless Cable/DSL Gateway Router
Wireless USB Network Adapter
$54.23

Discount just about paid for the shipping

Ordered a wireless router and two usb wireless adapters. These are to go with the two wireless pc cards and wireless notebook card I got with the 50% off deal. This wireless router will replace the WAP and router I just bought but are still new in the box. On my order in the 50% off deal, of the 7 refurb parts I ordered, they shipped 5 brand new, still shrink wrapped parts and only 2 refurbs. Hope this will be the same. Anyone want to buy a new Belkin WAP or D-Link Router?

I can tell you that unless you do a lot of file transfers on your wireless network, 802.11g is overkill. For Internet sharing, MP3 playing, video streaming, etc, 802.11b is more than enough. I think the g is just marketing hype (I don't even think it's a certified standard yet...not sure if it's been ratified yet).

So if prices aren't guaranteed until it ships...what if the price triples...do you get notified before shipping, what??? That sounds wacky.

I ordered 5/23. Items shipped 5/27 with all the same prices shown in the email shipping notification as were in the original order. Wireless usb adapter $17.99 and usb 2.0 pci card $6.39. Now if only they didn't have to get from CA to FL via UPS ground. I'll expect to see them in 2 weeks. 🙁

Thanks again to idesignit for this.

I placed my order on the 23rd and they shipped on the 27th at the same prices, too. It was almost a month between when I placed my last refub order and the date it shipped, but the prices were still the same. Hopefully UPS will be dropping my order off in GA on their way to you in FL, Allisolm. 😉 I love that Newegg uses FedEx Express. FedEx only takes 2-3 days to get from CA to GA for the same price UPS takes 10 days.

I think the way they ship depends on what you ordered and when they get your entire order in stock. I ordered a wireless router and 2 usb wireless nics. Are you registered with them or did you order without registering? I wonder if that makes a difference in priority?

I ordered a wireless router on the 23rd and it shipped out yesterday. I will be on vacation next week, hope they leave it so our house sitter can bring it!

ordered a wireless router and a couple of USB 2.0 cables and order shipped out yesterday. Has anybody tried out the router and how is it?

This might sounds a silly question: can a wireless router function as an access point or wireless adapter? Suppose I have got a wireless router connected to the cable modem and a PC, and for the 2nd PC, I connect it to another wireless router. Will the second router be able to pick up signals from the first router and get the second PC on network?

The reason I am asking is I need to get my second PC connected wirelessly, but it is hard to find a cheap deal on a PCI wireless adapter. If I can use the wireless router Belkin sells instead, it might be cheaper and when I don't need it a router will be easier to sell on ebay.

I noticed Belkin also has a refub USB wireless access point. I just have the impression that USB is slower than the bandwidth allows. Is it true? Is it slower or faster than a PCI wireless adapter? What is the difference anyway?
