Well he is back and now we know he is still around. Was wary about the other possibilities like coup or major illness since intuition said they were major speculation. Otherwise someone on the Russian political establishment shot Nemtsov but it could be Kadyrov just as much as Putin so that is interesting and also concerning since Kadyrov has started to deal in fundamentalism more than even Putin so for the short term we might have even more of the bullshit from ignorant ideology like more aggression and even more conflict. Will be interesting to see how Putin deals with this since Kadyrov is considered to be the one keeping the Caucasus from boiling over and revolting against the Russians which could be problematic while Putin is fighting the Ukrainians. More insurgency in the Caucasus could give Putin even more support from the Russian populace but it could also cause him to lose some of his popularity since he was considered to have stamped out the Chechen insurgency in the area. You would also have lots of casualties from all sides including Russian soldiers, Chechen insurgents, and civilians plus massive infrastructure and property destruction just like the 2nd Chechen Civil War which took years to start rebuilding all the shit. Plus the Chechens have been fighting wars against other countries and cultures for centuries so they are going to be not easy to just wipe out instantly.

Thing is Putin used to seem more rational and methodical if cold yet ever since his troubles in the 2012 presidential election he is unpredicatable and putting more and more religious and imperialistic rhetoric in everything he says and his propaganda. Granted this is hard for me to say that he never said this shit constantly earlier since I have not watched speeches and interviews of him by the thousands since 2000 when he was made de facto dictator of the Russians but there does seem to be a more fundamentalist and aggressive character to his conduct since the protests in his returning to the presidency in the 2012 general elections. Now Putin has certainly used power and aggression as his Russian doctrine but my thoughts are that it was more like soft Imperialism earlier from 2000 to 2012 and since 2012 he has shifted to more hard Imperialism which includes more veneration of Stalinism.
