pretty nice inwin brand cases at geeks.com $15.40 + shipping

price for the z583 is $16.99 now but if you look around, there is a 10% off entire order discount code. It went down to $15.29 for me + $8 shipping. Of course I had to pay tax but it was something like $1.18. Not bad

FATWALLET
TECHBARGAINS
SHOPPINGBARGAIN
EDEALINFO
DEALNEWS

are the ones I know about. They do not work on Geek specials. Google for more.

I feel free... 🙂

Z583 is OOS.

Cool, I've been looking for a new home for my old P3 guts.

I also had to laugh at this bullet point:
# Product Requirements:
# Rest of system

Since codes are allowed now, EDEALINFO code gives you 10% off entire order. Code expires 1/31/2009 (excludes items marked "special")

i did not know codes were allowed. for a long time you could jsut type compgeeks as the code, but i dont think that works anymore.

😀

wow , didnt know that. i had been here since back in the day when codes were allowed too, this used to be the best site for deals (i actually started going into the forums sinc esomeone at college said it was a way to get really cheap stuff during the dot com days).

Excellent cases. I've used nearly 200 of them over the years. Solid, Safe logical, easy and the usual included power supplies are always excellent for their wattage. Probably underrated many times. Look the same as the units I used for pentium-233 only now they can handle a prescott with the added portholes and bigger fans.

I've done a build in the same chassis (different faceplate) as the V700. These things are built like tanks and are very good quality with decent (depending on faceplate) ventilation. Kinda tight in there, so you wouldn't want to upgrade too often, but makes for a small and solid system.

All of the V series inwins are the same internally, and all of the Z series work the same way... the V and Z series are different from each other, however...

The V series is an older design, updated with more portholes and 92mm fannage, while the Z series is their modern toolless design...

Both are Matx, and the Geeks price isn't as good as you think, unless you were already planning on using a different psu than the normally supplied (and entirely decent) 350w inwin... for that, yeh, it's a good deal...

Nice stout little boxes with good fit and finish, good features as well...
