I was going to post this deal earlier but decided not to. I ordered two of these modems from Onvia. They were only $23 shipped, are nicely packaged and aesthetically pleasing. One of them was shiped to a friend in the boondocks who has apparently been able to use it to get online. The one I had shipped to me gets terrible connects to my ISP wheras my Diamond SupraExpress 56K External works fine. So I'm guessing these aren't the best for dirty phonelines.
It does come with the regular voice/messaging software, but since i've got an answering machine which doesn't have any fans in it to make noise all the time...
Elsa's got a neat little modem configuration program too.
(edit) bizarre - the price has jumped up to over $50 within the past week..
