Pretty good "connector guide" link

what scsi card do you have (if you know) you can't use a serial cable with scsi (too my knowlege anyways) the cable isn't anything special other than a "scsi cable" did it come with the scanner? maybe the manufacturer has some?
 
Manufacturer is Scanport, which was purchased by another company that is no longer supporting this model - they dont want to hear about it... the scsi card and the cable came packaged with the scanner - I will try to look at the model of the scsi card when I get home
