Those guys have been playing since they were in grade school / middle school and spent literally hours every day learning what they know. I've played for 6 years, but haven't put in the time to get anywhere close to adequately playing a Malmsteen, Vai, or Satch riff.

Yeha, you're looking at 6-10 hours a day to play at that level. THere's a lot of unfortunate sacrifices you have to make if you want to gain that level of skill.
