Pretty Damning article on Kamala Harris

she was a prosecutor and district attorney, this story is just par for the course.

reality is that she peaked months ago and was never near the top of the heap.

anyone who claims she is now done must recognize that she was never really close to the lead to begin with.
 
Lots of speculation that the presidential campaign is simply preparation for a run at the California governors job.

Wouldn't suprise me as I think that most of those folks are actually running for a different office or, a more serious presidential run in a few years time.

True I agree. A lot of us are over critical of our candidates, but stuff this like where she and her team withholds payments to a man who spent 9 years in Jail over a false accusation and uses technicalities to extend not paying. Even after him getting released, her office first sends a note to him letting him know first he does not have to register as a sex offender and then argue with him for 2 years that he then has to register as a sex offender just because one piece of paper work was not complete is very very callous.

In the meeting with Anderson, she says, I dont want to be 'immodes't but being a top tier candidate [who talks like that. answer the damm question]. It almost sounds like just because she had high percentages then, she will not answer the question put forward. Ridonkulous.
 
I'm proud of her as one of my US Senators from CA. But when she attacked Biden in the debate over the long-festering issue over nationally-imposed versus local discretion about bussing, I thought she'd gone too far.

I look at her candidacy from another angle, though. The Trumpies -- the Trumpie Loyalists -- keep holding their hands over their eyes and ears to ignore the massive set of data points which make it a near certainty that Trump has been a criminal walking between the raindrops all his life.

Back at the time of the 2008 election, there was talk about pursuing criminal charges against Bush or Cheney. I can't remember precisely what Obama said, but whatever it was, there was an inclination to reconciliation and moving forward. I could accept that -- then.

But whether or not the mythology of Milton's "Paradise Lost" is real or true, Trump is lower than crocodile piss as a ringer for Satan's spawn. He's Charlie Manson as a politician.

I want to see him behind bars.

So I'll be fine if Harris bows out of the primary race, and I'm sending off letters to all the other candidates that I want her installed as US AG.

I want to see Trump on "MSNBC Lockup" -- maybe sharing a cell at Supermax with El Chapo -- interviewed for an entire season by Bill Maher, Stephen Colbert and Al Franken.

There was more going on with the Nuremburg Trials than simple "Justice". The justice that was meted out was also a moral lesson for the German people.

And I think some ignorant voters out in the cornfields need to see Trump behind bars, so that next time -- they actually think about the type of person they select as a presidential candidate.

And if you can believe what Harris says about it and what Nancy Pelosi says about it, they agree with me.

Lock him up. Make him serve hard time.

is that even possible? I feel like he has been able to slink away from every dang opportunity to be put in jail. The president immunity BS should be taken away and everyone should be equal before law. Hopefully once he is out of office, the hammer falls on him and he ends up in jail.

At this moment, I feel like this sleaze ball will be a 2 term president.

he was using a hooker before he started his presidency run and the evangelists vote for him. Blows my mind.

I am not a fan of military, prosecutors, or others whose job is making other people's lives miseable running for political office, but we get that a lot.

Connecting all the other dots, the whole Trump family are notable bigots, and it is hard not to assume that his bigotry colored his public stance on the Central Park Five.

The Trumpies all like to argue that everything about Trump is fake news which we've somehow concocted because -- we "hate him". It requires a correction and response that we hate him because he's a criminal and otherwise morally reprehensible. It would be something else if we hated him because he's merely a Republican (also a contentious issue), or because he "won" the election -- and we could argue about that as well.

No less than the Russia collusion/conspiracy whatever, assertions of money-laundering etc. -- the tax fraud will become apparent with revelation of the tax returns. Implicit in defending Trump's right to suppress his tax returns is a covert desire to subvert the entire federal system.

If people born with a silver spoon in one hand and a gold cell-phone in the other can always get off with a slap on the wrist or a pardon from someone else, then the promise of justice in America is a sham, and America is no better than any other nation-state, or just lower than crocodile piss.

"Creepy Joe?" Seriously? Both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have their faults, but either has more residual integrity in their pinky toe than Trump.

I must say, I really didn't know you were so invested in who the Democratic nominee is. Might you kindly tell us which one, if any, you would vote for over Trump?

Biden is creepy. I don't believe that he intends to be, and I don't believe his intention is to make anyone uncomfortable, I just think his understanding of personal space is a little off. A friend of my wifes is the same way, she likes to touch whoever she's speaking to and stand very close. Being tall thin and pretty makes it a little less uncomfortable than it would be from a man.
I'm certainly interested in who the democratic nominee is, as that person has a better than even chance of replacing president Trump Pence. Who I would vote for is unknown at this point. I really like Liz Warren, not fond of a few of her ideas, but as the person presented on the TV, she's got it going on. I just don't know if I can afford her as I haven't looked into the cost of her platform. It sounds expensive, but quality is the best value.
The republicans are hamstrung at this point, they have an albatross that no one likes, but he's in the big chair and that's the easiest place to start from.
 
Here in Hawaii Gabbard is generally considered to be as close to being a Republican in ideology while declaring herself to be a Democrat, especially in the area of social issues. Although she has changed her views in regard to now favoring gay rights/marriage, the general consensus is that she did it as a political necessity as Hawaii is lopsidedly Democrat and not so much having a change of heart.

Her father, a Hawaii State Senator, switched parties from Repub to Democrat for what is suspected to be the same reason.
 
I will continue to hope and keep my fingers crossed that the Democratic nominee for 2020 is Senator Warren. The only thing that might be better is a long and agonizing and angry floor fight or something resembling the Democratic Convention in Chicago in 1968.

Personally, don't care which party. She's an Assad apologist/enabler. If I was an American I wouldn't vote for her in the dogcatcher's race. But that's just me. <shrug>
