Check this thing out ... It's a "silent" guitar. Basically it's a guitar with a head-jack so you can get accoustic-like sound with headphones ... or plug it into an amp if you want to make some noise. It's also got a line-in for plugging in an audio source to play along with. I don't play guitar, but this one makes me want to learn.

Hehe, those are pretty cool, aren't they? Same concept for some electric cellos that I've seen.

that is kinda nice i suppose, but i mean similarly you could just get an electric and plug that into an amp, and then use the headphones jack through the amp.

I mean although you will make some noise, i doubt its gonna distrub anyone.

Nice. I want one. What do they cost? I use a Fender Twin Reverb amp, that even on low vol is still too loud according to my padmates.
