Pretty cool quiz I got in my e-mail today about ID theft.

Here is the message I received, good for killing a little time.
Sorry if this is a repost, I'm not in here very often.
I scored 90% when I took the quiz, the one I missed I errored on the side of caution.

Identity theft is a real and growing problem. Online shoppers are especially vulnerable to "phishing," which is a term given to the various means identity theives use to obtain your confidential personal information.

Below is an extract from a newsletter sent by the SANS Institute, a well-respected group of IT security experts. In it, you'll find links that will explain more about phishing, give you tips on how to protect yourself, and what to do if you become a victim of a phish attack.

Don't think you'll ever fall for one of those schemes? Take the quiz at the following link to see if you can tell the fraudulent solicitations from the legitimate ones:

Have fun,
JR..

You got 9 out of 10 correct, or 90 %

9. Capital One
Phishing Fraud ... INCORRECT
(The correct answer was Legitimate)

8/10 erred on the side of caution twice.
Capitalone and BankofAmerica, both due to the links at the bottom (not to the main homepage/domain).
If it's been really bothered though, I would have done a WHOIS on the domains.

9/10, got the chase one wrong.

Capital One question was a no-brainer for me, but that's because I get one of those every month.

True, but there are still tells in the e-mails...

I got 90%, missing the capitol one e-mail. It had a login link which could have been faked, and only checked by methods not available.
