It's one of the main spyware prevention programs always on my system.

I've found the SpywareBlaster, Spybot, and Ad-aware weekly combination of scanning and immunization works very well.

Cool...i have the pro edition of ad-aware, but i dont really like ad-watch. I dont understand quite how spybot works, but i like the immunization and permanent protection idea. and i really like the way spywareblaster works too. Are there anymore programs that are efficient but unobtrusive? thanks

SpywareBlaster is the first app I install on a new machine. As others have said, that + Spybot + Ad-Aware is usually enough to keep spyware at bay.

I concur with BlueWeasel... Along with Microsoft Anti-Spyware Beta (free to licensed users), I install SpywareBlaster, Spybot, and Ad-Aware FTW.

MS still finds some things the others don't, so they are all useful. Spyware is like obscenity... hard to define, but you know it when you see it... LOL. No standard set of definitions exist, so more scanners is better.

One thing to watch for though... since MS bought Claria, MS will default to "Ignore" on any Claria found. :| Just change to "Remove" and happily be on your way.
