if its within visual range, its more about maneuverability, not the size of the radar you can carry =)

Wouldn't the F-15 be able to outrun the F-16 though? (I'm Canadian, we don't do this whole military thing... ;))

that made no sense. it seemed in the beginning it was 4 F15s to 1 F16.

Too much cutting in and out i guess.

And in the end when he goes after the two F-15s, you see the lead F15's wingman behind the F-16 but no mention of why the wingman didn't protect the lead?

I still think it's one of the most beautiful jets ever made. Maybe the most beautiful.

nice, what is this from?

Fighter Pilot: Operation Red Flag

Was in imax as I said, pretty decent flick. Lots of awesome shots when I saw it, I imagine they're close to the same in HD. But there is also a lot of CG and "creative license" used in the video, Top Gun may be considered more realistic - at least it was all real jets.

Buy the DVD in 420P

Local and Nationwide IMAX Showtimes and listings. (compleate screening list)

EDIT: I fixed the second link.

.exe?!?!

Self-extracting zip file. I ran a virus scan on it before opening and it's clean.

i hate that, in the past their downloads sometimes would stall on me. an exe is useless then, atlesat with the wmv or avi you could playback what u've already downloaded if its enough.

Agreed. I think the best part of the Imax movie were the A-10's firing their main cannon

Nothing but a smooth download via Opera for me.
