So you get "ignored" and the guy asks you about ID?

Thats the whole point of having those little pictures on there, to prevent theft.

And you live in the DC area. Probably one of the rudest areas in America.

Hell, everything was going great though...work ended on a good note, was walking and talking with a cute GW student for about 6 blocks on the way to the store...

then I walk in...everyone walking away from you, then paying no mind when you ask questions, then throwing your CC on the table instead of handing it back to you after having fvking scrutinized photo on it ( CC with embedded photo), then FVKING IGNORING YOU when you are asking them questions or chatting while you wait...

WTF was wrong with me anyways....had just come from work...nice formal slacks on , londonfog-ish overcoat, [now wrinkled but still decent] geoffrey-beene'ish dress shirt..etc...the girl I was flirting with thought I looked okay and I got my usual looks on the train...nothing special....certainly nothing too out of place*

As someone who loves apple products, Apple store workers are the lowest rung of trendy scum.

It was probably your body odor.

Cheer up, at least the guys didn't hit on you. I mean you were in an Apple store after all.

Edit: The new nano is my first iPod. So cool. I sat and watched the cover flow thing back and forth, back and forth...

i don't buy anything from a retailer if I get a bad vibe; no matter how badly i want something. i have canceled purchases in the middle of a transaction if the cashier is rude for example. i won't often complain or say something, I'll just say nevermind and walk out. if i were you i would go to talk to a manager at the store about it tomorrow. there is no reason for them to pull that kind of crap and you deserve some peace of mind.

Get over it.
A lot of these businesses brag about "customer service" or the "environment" they create for the customer, but when you finally need something, where the hell are they? They'll find a reason to get pissed at YOU and make you feel like you're making a mistake. Customers put food on their table, there should be a bit more respect, we all work to carry on our lives.

Goosemaster. You really should have just walked out and had the patience to buy another product, or the same product another store or online.
It may feel like a buzz kill walking out of a store with no product, but the satisfaction is back when you click the "checkout" button at your favorite online store.

Rant is 4/10 since you gave in.

and save on tax.

How the F is it an impulse buy if you have been waiting months to save up the money for it?

You sound like a very insecure whiny b!tch unfortunately.

What are your "usual looks on the train" do strangers eyeball you on a regular basis?
Anyway if your getting crappy customer service complain and complain loudly to manager
or rep., I'm sure no one who owns a store and is paying someone to help customers wants
you to have that kind of experience. I used to work as a mystery shopper for Bellsouth mobile
just to help the company ferret out the CSR's that treated customers like crap, it was a fun job..

They didnt know anything about their mac mini. I asked them what was idle power consumption and they pointed me to their 2006 results from a google search I had already done. Pretty lame not knowing anything pertinent about the hardware they sell.
