Prestonia Xeon 2.0 GHz vs. Athlon MP 1900+

Interesting article AGodspeed. I was disappointed with one thing though: they don't benchmark the 2.2 GHz Xeon. I rarely see anyone benchmark the top of the line Xeon's. I guess they just want to keep the costs lower - and we can assume the 2.2 GHz will be roughly 10% faster than the benchmarks posted. But still, I'd like to see at least one 2.2 GHz Xeon review.

I'm also waiting for HyperThreading - but I'm waiting for 2.5+ GHz Xeons to be released before I upgrade

<"As for the Xeon?s Hyperthreading technologies, it?s hard not to be disappointed with the scores which we got throughout our testing. Hyperthreading sounds like an incredibly useful processor feature in theory, but in practice, It?s useless without compatible software on the market. Time will only tell if developers want to take on the Hyperthreading challenge, and the few developers we?ve talked to have not been that incredibly impressed with the technology thus far. If nothing else, Hyperthreading will certainly be an interesting to watch out for over the next few years. ">

If you look at the benchmarks, the Prestonia only beats the MP combo in a few tests, and it's gain was VERY minimal.
