I used my ring finger.. :(

I just realized I only use my pinkys for A and ;, never outside of homerow keys. Ring fingers do the rest.

A bad habit...

Depends on starting position... usually pinky but I'll use my ring finger if it's the beginning of the first word I'm typing.

Do you use your ring finger to put on your right turn signal when you're getting out of the left lane as well?

middle finger

edit: Ring finger seems more natural... I think that's what I usually use.

q

used my ring finger. But I'm not set up for typing, as I'm sitting parallel to the desk with my feet up and a kitty on my lap. The "q" is a looong way away.

Left pinky finger, as I already had my keys on the home row.

The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dogs.

But, when I am just neffing and need to hit Q to quit something, I use whatever finger is available. Maybe I am holding a bag of Cheetos or something and that finger is unavailable.

How can you use your pinky for that? What if, heavens forbid, you need to press Tab, Shift or CTRL?

Ring finger. I'm far too used to WASD + pinky for shift, tab, ctrl, etc.

Actually, after looking down, my natural "home row" position for both my hands is left on WASD with pinky on shift, and right hand on J / I / P / '. It's a really weird combo, but it works for me. On a good day, I type at 90-100+ WPM.

middle. I don't usually do any long sessions of typing, so when my hand is resting when typing, it's usually covering WASD as if I were gaming.

My hands move alot when typing, sometimes I will hit buttons of the right side of the keyboard with my left hand, depending on what I am typing.

Ring finger. The pinkie finger would have to stretch to get it; pinkie's primary functions are:
A, Z, CAPS LOCK GODDAMMIT!, CTRL, WINDOWS KEY.
