Press Any Key to Boot

I just finished converting my digitalriver files to a bootable dvd and i was checking to see if the conversion and iso work and so far, so good but with a hitch ...

My motherboard is a MSI P35 Neo2-FR and it powers my USB keyboard fine. My keyboard has power press keys to boot into bios or safe mode but for some reason the keyboard or motherboard drops power (led lights on my keyboard shut off) when it's time to "Press Any Key to Boot ..". Once it skips the option to boot from CD, it goes ito the boot routine for Vista and the power on my keyboard comes back.

Suggestions on how to fix it? My mobo has a PS2 port but the life of me, i dont know anyone with ps/2 keyboard or a usb to ps2 dongle.

I'm more interested in finding out how to rememdy the boot situation with a usb keyboard.

It's not. I'm punting this to general hardware. You'll probably want to pick a better title.

Log to the BIOS and make sure that the USB Keyboard entry is set to use BIOS (Not OS).
