Watching someone try to debate Obama is going to be amusing. Mitt will probably be able to maintain his composure better than GWB did, and at least sound like he's not lost talking numbers and policy, but still...

I think they should release the transcripts of the debates the day before each so the media has time to prepare infographics and charts.

In 2008 I was surprised at how soundly Obama trounced McCain in their debates; taking on a multi-decade veteran of the Senate in foreign policy and other affairs and coming out on top is a remarkable feat. The guy is unflappable, whereas at times McCain sounded exasperated or actually angry. I do think Romney will do at least marginally better in that regard, though.

I believe Obama deliberately tried to push McCain's buttons.. and McCain let him get away with it.

Based on his primary performances, Romney is rather undisciplined in debates, and actually probably even easier to get riled up than McCain was. Romney really comes across as rather unaccustomed to being challenged on pretty much anything.. I still remember when the GOP primary challengers hit him on his tax returns, the look on his face.. he actually seemed offended and shocked.

I know the mere mention of that retard causes of a lot of you Bush voters to feel insecure, maybe even guilty, but he was cited as he is the most recent example of a GOP candidate getting destroyed in grand fashion. Hope I didn't muddle up your sense of history too much.
