That's pretty unlikely. Obama is an excellent debater. I actually think that Obama would be Newt's worst nightmare, as Obama's strategy has always been to play it cool and force his opponent to overreach. There's no way that Newt can control himself in the face of something like that.

Newt is a good primary debater because you pay no penalty for saying ridiculous and outrageous things. In a real debate you do, and he just can't keep up with Obama on that level.

Isn't it great. We get a campaign speech on every channel in the United States. Its a shame that all parties are not afforded the same platform.
 
all the State of the Union addresses in my lifetime have seemed like useless press releases.

the President should just buy Congress a subscription to his newspaper of choice and call it a year.
 
I'm trying to remember the first time the networks gave the opposition party a response, i'll have to look it up though.

*edit* says first televised was in 1966. Somewhat sporadic after '68

It is just me, or is Michelle Obama's dress really REALLY Blue? That sucker was so bright that I needed to adjust the color on my TV!

We can train 2 million American all we want but if they refuse to take the entry level jobs because their welfare check pays more, it is a pointless effort.
