President Bushes job approval rating.

techs

Lifer
RCP most recent data. Average of all recent polls:
26.6 percent Approve
68.3 percent Disapprove.

WTF?????
Seriously, 26 percent of Americans approve of Bushes Presidency?
What's up with that? I mean, that's like someone floating in the water watching the Titanic go down and saying "its unsinkable".

Come on, 26 percent of people really approve? Can someone explain it to me? I could possibly accept 10 percent, or even 15 percent given the bell curve on I.Q. but 26 percent?
What do you have to do as President to actually get below 10 percent?

This is why the very fact of Sarah Palin's candidacy scares me.

We should have impeached GWB after he came up with zero WMD in Iraq. We should have impeached him many times since, and now after the dumb MF has basically collapsed the world economy, its way too late now.

Hoover was a basically hard working man who put in 20 hour days trying to fix the bungles of others, but nothing in his bag of tricks worked and he became hugely unpopular. Its far different with an unrepentant GWB who is the author of our miseries, of the two men, Hoover is by far, the better of the two.

Now the only question is, in terms of popularity, how low can GWB go, when we learn the full truth later.

In terms of anyone who voted for GWB in 2000 or 2004, if this is not enough to inspire you to swirl your head in the nearest toilet, and keep up the rinse and repeat, until you realize what a gullible fool you were, I do not know what will work for redemption. As for the 26%, we must be dealing with self destructive masochists who hate America.

You've obviously never been down South. There, patriotism, religion and the military comes above all else (even though these people are the poorest in America and get screwed over every time by Republicans). I wouldn't be surprised if Bush's approval rating was above 50% in the South.

Her approval number are 10x better than congress, we should worry more about Obama and Biden they have proven to keep the approval numbers down.

I am still amaze that people still say there is no WMD in Iraq. Saddam had a history of using chemical and biological weapon on his own people. The test and the mass grave is the prove of that. Just because you can;t find it doesn't made it was never used.

Hmm. Kinda proves my point about the bell curve.

I often use this figure to prove my points about the stupidity of people.

Don't say that. I have seen Santa and the easter bunny, too. No, I cannot prove it, but you cannot prove I haven't, and so many people say they have so my point is just as valid as yours, unless you believe me 🙂

You know, we did attack them in 1991 for the first gulf war. You can't use the same evidence for 2 wars.

Quite frankly I can't see what the job approval rating of Saddam Hussein has to do with job approval rating of GWB, but when it comes to the average Iraqi on the street, they say almost unanimously, that life under Saddam was much better than life under the current US occupation.

In terms of getting innocent Iraqis killed, made jobless, forced to move, or exiled, GWB&co is certainly the greatest scourge in Iraqi history while Saddam is now a distant second.

Worse yet, Saddam is now dead, and cannot be blamed for future blood baths, while the policies of GWB&co keep up the potential for further Iraqi bloodbaths.

No doubt about its, Saddam was a rat, but when GWB is hand downs now the bigger rat, any GWB apologist has to be crazy to mention Iraq as a positive GWB achievement. As he has managed to kill more Iraqis in five short years than Saddam did in over 30 years.

Well hey, at least those queers still can't get married - amirite?

YEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!

I know two people inside that 26% (my uncle and his kinda sorta but not really wife)... they got out of the stock market for the most part when the gettin' was good (right before the dot-com crash), they're life-long social conservative republicans, and the negatives of the Bush admin haven't really affected them at all. they just do their thing on their farm out in western NJ.

they don't like McCain but there's no way in hell they'd vote for Obama, so they'll probably be staying home this November.

I've always wondered about this. Can anyone confirm that your statistic is true - that more Iraqis have died since the US invasion than under Saddam's rule?

Met a guy from Birmingham who still supports Bush, had a long discussion with him until he started talking about how the President is above the law and I realized our idealogical differences were too strong for it to go any further.

Would be classified as legally retarded in states in the north.

You know what's even worse, the 9% approval rating of congress

Yet individual ratings for senators and representatives are generally much, much higher. Everyone likes their own rep and just hates everyone else's, since everyone else's reps prevent their rep from doing what they want.

Buwhahahahaah!

You are still reading the 2004 election talking points, aren't you? Surely, you can't be that stupid? Er, nevermind. I've read your other posts.

Well, I did recently come upon one who is in the group, too. She's from Birmingham or Atlanta, not sure which, 23, said she voted for Bush and doesn't believe in looking back and regretting decisions that cannot be changed, so yep she is in that group.

I'd like to say people who are in that group should be sent to a separate country, maybe put them in several of the lower states and make a new country called the united states of dumbfvck, but the fact is they are so bat-sh*t crazy they'd probably attack the rest of us over some silly thing in several years anyway, so in this sense it's best to keep them close and comparatively unorganized, like better to fall on a bunch of tiny pieces of glass than one really big one in your heart.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have to admit that DrPizza has a good point. No one keeps precise statistic about the number of Iraqi civilians killed, the number now exiled is better, but then again, the statistical number killed by Saddam are equally exaggerated.

After all, Saddam was convicted and hanged by the neck until dead dead dead, for his partial role in killing less than 400 in Tucreit. Many of the Saddam use of WMD charges are very dubiously documented, but even very low ball estimates of the Iraqis who died due to the ethnic cleansing during the US occupation exceed 150,000. While other valid but not provable documented place that number in excess of 600,000 innocent Iraqis. And the number of provable Iraqis exiled now exceeds 2 million.

Jefferson Davis almost granted your wish but that jackass Lincoln got in the way. Why is he considered so great again?

Great excuse for such terribly low numbers. Isn't that what many refer to as being an 'apologist'? Both parties suck, face it.
