At least Kerry doesn't pretend to be a cowboy. Man, oh man, you would think Bush would have outgrown that once he hit, oh, about 10-years old.

Such appearances at sporting events this election year help Bush shore up his standing with his core supporters: white men.

What? He needs to shore up his base? Hmmmm . . . I thought he already had Cad's vote. 😀

They also show him as a plain-talking boots-wearer with Middle America tastes an image Bush has cultivated for years to counter his background as an Ivy Leaguer from an old, wealthy, New England-based family.

When it comes to background, Bush = Kerry, yet I'm sure we're going to hear the Bush campaign ripping into Kerry over it.
