You ever notice the only people that say the Segway looks dumb are the people that haven't tried them... but everybody that has tried them, from tv personalities to people such as Andy Grove loved it.

I'm sure the first people who were witnessing those who watched tv for the first time thought it was stupid to sit infront of a tube and watch a broadcast, when they could be listening to the same broadcast while doing other stuff as well (such as cooking, gardening, playing poker, etc).

yes i'm sure. but it's just my first instinct is that it looks funny. it's not a strong reaction by any means and i probably will change my mind later (i'm pretty open minded)

It's actually very easy to fall off the first time you get on (I almost did). It's even easier to tip it over sideways, while making a fast hard turn.
