So the ACB event then the debate prep have spread this.
that totally figures and I'm waiting for Guilliani to test +, he was the other debate prep guy.

I'm honestly hoping Barr is +. He was right there a week ago in that thorny rose garden. Him out of commission for the remainder of the term would be a POSITIVE development.

TFW this White House tires to put the best face on something then accidentally exposes that something horrifically irresponsible has possibly transpired, like beyond even our wildest dreams.

Well that’s desperate. Fauci said that in February. In March he said yes, now it looks like they are effective as we know more about the virus. Trump has mocked them since then often very openly, including as recently as at the debate. The entire FOP establishment has done everything they can to convince people not to wear masks. But yeah. They guy who has been saying wear them for the last 7 months is the problem.

Mask are a personal choice. Nothing Trump says influences "everyone"

Congratulations!

You win today's Internet Kook Award!

Feel free to choose any two of these fabulous prizes !

I would ask what Trump should have do different, but you will use hindsight.

Maybe you posted suggestions march or april somewhere that later came true?

They said he is fever free at the press briefing. CNN, however, says he is still running a fever and has congestion, similar to yesterday’s status.
they also said he was diagnosed 72 hours ago. Before he went to that fundraiser in New Jersey. they didn’t announce it until 1 AM yesterday morning. Now 35 hours ago.

Blame those deaths on people like dr fauci, who told us not to wear a mask. Fauci even told us do not buy mask.

Blame those deaths on WHO who played politics with China to suppress information.

If I were to ask what Trump should have done different, you will use hindsight to justify your stance.

I answered that earlier I’d prefer not to write a long answer again. I’ll gladly find and link it if you need it.
I did leave an important point off my earlier post.
Everyone knows there will be mistakes and information will change as Covid is studied.

I have no ill will against anyone, including the President who said masks were in effective until late March give or take. Around that time it started to appear places that were good at wearing masks had lower transmissions for whatever reason, which to my amateur understanding is kind of unusual for what we expected this virus to be.
I’m not going to beat anyone including you for believing incorrect information early on. Not much was known about this.
I am okay with leaving World Health Organization. I think it is epically stupid to leave the WHO during a FUCKING PANDEMIC. I think it is epically stupid the state how useless the WHO is then 24 hours later ask them for masks or test kits.
The Administration has shown consistent incompetence during Covid.
Little leadership, lots of blame dodging and lots of golf.

You'll find slightly different numbers with different sources, but let's go with yours. That is, to be clear, the 12th and 10th *worst*. Out of 216. Call me Mr. American Exceptionalism, but I feel like we should be able to do a bit better than that.

Yes, we should do better. I blame it in part on our education system, the CDC and WHO.

Everything the CDC says is "wash your hands and cover your cough. Besides that no real public health advice comes from them.

Really leaning to they concealed earlier positive tests here. They never announced Hope Hicks either, it leaked and there were sources saying they tried to keep a lid on it.

wait. You just said it’s Fauci’s fault for telling people not to wear masks for a brief period before reversing but it’s not the fault of Trump and the GOP who have gone after mask wearing constantly since then including banning entire states from making them mandatory in any way because it’s a personal choice?

Make up your damn mind.

I think that this could work out very well for Donald if...

1) He plays the sympathy card
2) Shows that he's a STRONG leader. America needs a STRONG leader
3) Starts attacking China. Oh, I'd hate to be China.

Actually I did. One of the advantages of being raised in other cultures as well as American.

Most people in Asian cultures, wear masks like they were born with them. Primarily, it's a smog thing. So nobody really had to mandate anything.

If you've ever done a cable run in a drop ceiling, you get an idea of the crap that you breathe in, because it's so visible. When this particular shitstorm hit, I was already sitting on seven boxes of masks. I used them for work.

Who knew they would be lifesavers?

I did, and I told people about it here.

And with the stroke of midnight, Infrastructure Week comes to a close…

At this rate the election will be anti-climatic because the only healthy people left in the country will all be Democrats.

My man. He is out of sight in a hospital right now and the WH doc just gave an evasive, conflicting, and deeply concerning press conference.

You revere the man who claimed the virus would disappear "like a miracle," and not only refused to wear masks or socially distance (defying all health experts' advice), but until days ago was holding rallies where he had no expectations of safety for the crowd. The Barrett nomination is now being characterized as a superspreader event.

True realists know people will die, but you know what they also do? They take threats seriously and know that it's possible to minimize casualties with early, coordinated action. You, sir, are not even close to being a realist.

Conservatives and generally apathetic people have taken this, "well people will die, it just works that way" notion as if it is still 1917, or 1038, or whatever century of human misery, prior to germ theory, contemporary or even modern medicine, all the vast amounts of knowledge and wisdom we have gained through epidemiology, and have decided that none of that matters. "We are the greatest nation in the world! ...but of course none of the amazing things that actually made us great matter, are relevant, and should be summarily dismissed because I have a narrative that must be defended.

Retro Rob is the perfect example of this transparent dismissal of everything that makes us an advanced, modern human society while praising its "greatness" and celebrating its collapse as a strange defense of "what is necessary" in a temporary narrative that he will absolutely change within a week.

This is the problem with conservatives: they want to pretend that "greatness" is some divine gift that they deserve, without work, without history, without any effort or any acknowledgement of the reality of that greatness....because those things have been recently defined as evil, or simply uncomfortable to the conservative philosophy, because the inevitable reality of human progress is that conservatism is a plain, undeniable threat to actually being great. They've earned nothing about "greatness" while time and time again, it is without question the intellectuals, usually liberal, open-minded, oftentimes deists or atheists (Read: not Christians, or simply do not care) that have actually done all the work that makes this country great. Conservatives want to claim all of the results of greatness for themselves, dismiss everything that made it great, and pretend that the greatness was there all along, giving them a singular divine right to announce it and own it. Hell, just look at every Texas Tugger post: he's the poster child of this lazy, ignorant, plainly unappreciative right-owner to what he believes is "great" (about a country that he has probably only ever witnessed ~2% of throughout his life)

This is why the "narrative" argument must be established. Everything and anything can be false or true, at any time, because it is the only way to mentally shelter oneself from the plain truth that their philosophy is indefensible, broken, and really the core reason why they are so miserable in life. The invented enemies that they were given (have always been given by such regressive, fascist regimes: "the stranger, the outsider, the not us") aren't enough anymore. The entire reality must be changed, and constantly fluid. It takes one day of simple thought to dismiss any established conservative narrative, so they must by fluid.

Symptomatic Covid case recovery time is generally a matter of weeks, not days. I would be suspicious if Trump claims he's recovered that rapidly. It could be a mild case, but recovery takes some time. If you've ever had mono, somewhat similar recovery time.

Without using hindsight, what exactly has the Trump administration done that you disagree with?

We can go back decades, and to Democrat presidents if you want who signed free trade agreements that allowed companies like 3M to move their manufacturing offshore.

No one is innocent here. From Bill Clinton allowing China to join the world trade organization, to the senate ratifying free trade agreements that allowed drug companies to move offshore, to Nixon restoring relations with China, to Biden saying we need a strong China....... our government gave away our ability to respond to stuff like covid.

I feel Trump has done everything in his power to respond to covid, but it is never enough.

If not for NY and New Jersey (with libtards governing them) the US would be in really good shape.

Oh throw my state in there too, Michigan, where our Supreme Court just stripped Hitler of her executive powers.

Blue states performed the worse by far.

Can't tell if happily lying and just gives no fucks, or really really stupid....

Personally, I think “the Deep State poisoned him” is going to be the mantra going forward. We could do a Conspiracy Bingo game to figure out how they’ll spin this. They never should have ordered in from Comet Pizza!!… damnit!

Texashiker would have to have a mind of his own to make up.
