RC2 eh? Well I may download it now but not mess with it till the weekend. Perhaps this will fix the issues that I had with RC1.

There's been quite a few changes since RC1. Everything is working very well for me and my brother. I have an Incredible and he has an EVO.

Looks and feels the same as RC1 to me. Biggest change would be WIMAX integration but since I live in an area with no 4g, its not a big deal to me.

I did download the latest SG kernel to see how battery life is.

After using Cyanogen for a while, I found out that its not all as cracked up to be. Im a much bigger fan of ACS.

I think you are probably one of the very few who feel this way, but it is your opinion. A co worker of mine likes the sense ui over CM, but personally, I like CM much more.

Never had a CM release that ran well on my OG Droid. Hopefully that would be different on my EVO.

AznAnarchy has a Samsung Epic (like me). The versions of CM available for this phone are outdated and buggy. We have to find alternatives.

I havent even used Cyanogen on my Epic. I put it on my ex-girlfriend's evo when she first got it. 6.0, 6.1, 6.2, then 7 RC1. All of them were slow and sluggish on the Evo. I used to defend Cyanogen when she would complain but she was getting about 6 hours on the battery even with data off. ACS on my epic im getting 14-15 hours with data on. So I tried ACS on the Evo and it was noticeably faster.

That's pretty cool... it's just amazing how much can be customized. I've switched mine up so many times, I can't keep track of how many hours I spend tweaking my phone lately.

Likewise, though I think I'm leaving it like this for the forseeable future.

Honeybread theme for the T-Mobile theme engine in CM7 is the shit.

+
180 screen density, stock ADW, 8x8, no dockbar
Minimalist Text widgets (google/weather/battery stats)
One More Clock Honeycomb theme

I think it's the first time I've been completely happy with Android's UI

Lawrence now has 4g coverage. I flashed RC2 a couple days ago and have 4g. nice and fast, instantly loading webpages, etc. Battery life isnt that great, but supposedly a nightly CM build will fix this.

Favorite thing about ACS is they fixed the goddamn keyboard. It used to be like using a typewriter; you had to wait a little bit between keypresses because there was this lag. Now it's lightning fast, even though I normally use Swype anyway.

Cyanogenmod and most other custom ROMs are way too riced-out for me anyway. Oh and if you put CM7 on the EVO you won't have Swype, but most other EVO ROMs do have Swype ever since they added it in an OTA update.

CM7 RC2 seems to suck down the battery much faster than RC1. I'll stick with RC1 for now which has extremely good battery life on a Droid Incredible.
