Best theme song?

What about Giligans Island? 🙂
Now the song will be stuck in your head. Gilliagan......the Skipper too.....

I don't think I'll be getting this DVD, but I am going to search cable to see if it's running for old times.

-show

"Believe it or not...IIIII'm walking on air..." heheh, that actually became a top ten hit. I agree though, I LOVED that show, but it would probably be unwatchable now. Acting quality on TV improved 1000 fold after shows like Hill Street Blues, Miami Vice, and LA Law in the mid-late 80's.

I know how u feel, i loved Knight Rider when i was a kid, but watching it now makes me a little nauseous.
I'll tivo this a bit to see if i can watch it again.

This show had the best theme song ever.

I still have the end of the act music from Knight Rider on my cell. It makes a great ringtone since the music is burned into my brain from my childhood. The scary part is that I was walking through Home Depot the other day, my phone went off and one of the guys behind the customer service desk recognized the tune instantly. Scary.

I have that same thing! 😀 I also use Godzilla's roar for my wife's personal ring tone. That way I know it's her.

Whoa. Greatest American hero was AWESOME. And I also see mention of CondorMan. Amazing! Talk about nostalgia. I don't think those 2 were the same as in CondorMan but the main characters sure look alike.

Search the net for Maxthon. (Just to answer his question).

Back to the topic, it was a good show for its times. In a way, I still love the concept of a "hero" (who was just a normal guy) losing the instructions to his/her super suit. The show had no problem poking fun at superheros. Nowadays, both its corny humor and its sincere moments would seem dated.

Well this show wasn't the greatest but William Katt was in the best topless bar movie ever made - Naked Obsession. Plenty of bare breasts, stupid lines, and just enough murders to keep it interesting. Only on VHS currently, but Joe Bob says check it out.

Yeah, they're not the same, but if you put her eyebrows on the older dude, you have a dead ringer.

ahh..another 80's show comes to dvd, this show was good for its time, but its outdated today, i remember watching shows like the A-Team too whenever there truck got shot at by the bad guys, it was always fixed by BA in the next scene, hehe. If i remember correctly, GAH wasnt bulletproof or was he, these bad guys never shoot anyone, they just throw a punch.

You guys should watch the old superman in black and white, you see bullets boucning off his chest, he is standing there with his arms at his side saying "hey dumbass, you cant shoot me, i'm superman", so then the guy throws the gun at superman and what does he do, he ducks 😛P

LOVED Greatest American Hero. I have a lot of them on VHS from about ten years ago, when they ran them on the original FX network.

From the obscure 80s trivia file: In the middle of the show's run, they changed Ralph's last name from Hinkley to Handley. This lasted several months. Why? Because this was when President Reagan was shot by John Hinkley and the show didn't want their character to have the same last name as the would-be presidential assassin. That could prove useful in the Trivial Pursuit 80s edition.

BTW: Condorman was played by Michael Crawford, who, oddly enough, is a huge broadway star. He was the original Phantom of the Opera in Andrew Lloyd Webber's London premier run.

I don't think we got this show in the UK?

I "almost" bought the Dukes of Hazzard DVD set that was on offer at Amazon last year 😀

I remember back in 1976 or something like that, when we still had a B&W TV and being quite surprised when my friend brought a Red Ford Torino to School with a white stripe along it that looked just like the "Blue" Ford Torino with a white strip, as driven by Starsky and Hutch!!!

Ah those were the days 😛

Would you be talking about This Micheal Crawford of Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em Fame?
