I preordered Resident Evil Outbreak from them awhile back. It shipped about a day or two after it was available. Then it took about 5 days to get to me.

It's up to you if $20 is worth the wait.
 
I went for it..about $66.50 after shipping and tax.

If it comes out that Half-Life:Source version is going to be available for free somewhere else or with the basic version I'm gonna cancel since that's the main reason I'm going with the collector's edition.
 
I have mine on promise from a purchase of an ATI 9600XT. I don't recall the conditions but I suppose I registered my ID and info. I may need to track it down, but if I do get it, it will turn out to be at a good price.
 
I got an e-mail from Walmart telling me the ship date was pushed back to November 2nd, but I can't find much more info; saw that on 1up.com they say the release date is 10/19. Anyone else hear about this? I'm not really surprised if it's true, just disappointed. Probably all guesses? As far as I know, the dev's haven't released any official release date.
 
There is no official release date so I figured it would be pushed back again. Hopfully this will be the final push
 
Valve just said a few days ago that the release date would be "hopefully this fall". They said they would be sending a release candidate to Vivendi by the end of the month. At this point they might as well push it back to a holiday release. It has been delayed so much that another few months probably won't piss anyone off too much.

Found a quote from a software engineer at Valve from two days ago, "We are planning to deliver a release candidate to Vivendi later this month and we're hoping to see the product on store shelves this fall, but we do not have a confirmed ship date at this time."

My guess is either mid to late october, or they push it all the way back to december.

I also just heard that CS source is free no matter which version of HL2 you buy. Im not sure about HL source though.

I found out that Best Buy as of now will not be selling this version of HL2... just the regular one for 49.99. Anyone know if it's just going to be a certain few stores that carry this? I really wanna preorder, especially if this does turn out to be like UT2k4 with their DVD Limited Edition release, but don't trust Wal-Mart and would like to see some more price competition. I've also seen the game (aside from the two places mentioned in this thread) at IGN's gamestore for the same price as EBGames. I really don't wanna have to pay 80 bucks for it, even if it is a rerelease of the original HL included, considering I own the original (don't see the point in paying 30 dollars more to have upgraded graphics for something I already own, but then again, I don't see the point in buying expansion packs for games either 😛 )
 
The third phase of download began 2 days ago, so it seems like this game is getting closer to being completed.

Deal's dead now that the CE's contents have been officially announced... more retailers are started to list this version of the game now, and WalMart has upped the price to $79.82... I wish I preordered earlier....

yes, Day of Defeat, Counter Strike, and the Original Half Life have all been converted to the new Source Engine, although I'm not sure if Original Half Life is single player, multiplayer or both.

This deal looks even better. The price went up by $20 and it includes a HL2 tshirt and prima book. Good thing i got in on this deal. Very Sweet.

Some info, please on how you did this. I also have the ATi HL2 voucher but I forgot how it works.

Just go in and use your voucher like normal. You'll start at a bronze package automatically and you just buy the higher package.
