Can anyone tell me if this is a good deal? I'm sorry for being a newb here, but I am wanting to get some PC3200 RAM for about this price range.

Here is the link: Oupost 512MB PC3200 Memory

They are asking 59.99 plus 4.83 ground for shipping.

Again, if this is not a good deal, please be merciful in your scathing rebukes! :)

"premium" = ???

you're much better spending a little more for a name-brand at newegg...kingston, corsair, crucial, etc.

To be honest, it just say Premium, so I'm going to assume its a generic brand name. Bottom line I'm a studen on an extreme budget, though this memory is not Mushkin, would it get me by until I can upgrade later to something better? Again, thanks for the patience everyone with me.

Take care,

If the one year warrenty doesn't worry you then its a good deal if your just running a stock machine. A quick search on newegg and I found 9 different ddr400 512mb sticks for $5-$10 more that all have lifetime warrenty. Its worth an extra $5 even if you'll only use it 2 years tops or one year and sell it/trade it. Don't have to worry about having it die 13 months from now.

Premium is the name brand. It's been discussed here and/or FW but it's been a while. It worked ok for some people but not others. The quality and compatibility appears to be more in line with generic ram than name brands that we are most familiar with. I would spend a few dollars more on well known life time warranty ram.
