Turbocharger on either the Prelude or the Celica faster than the VW 1.8t w/chip. :Q😉
(Oh, and I do know a stock 2001 'lude that beat a chipped 1.8t w/chip)
So poo on VW as well 😛

The Honda Prelude SH definitely handles better than the Celica. It was C&D's best handling car under $30K. I owned an SH for 2 years and I thought the handling was amazing for a FWD car.

I never encountered the problems with 3rd and 5th gears that others have spoken about. The only problem I had with the SH was with the digital key. It was really flakey and wouldn't work sometimes. Once, I made an illegal U-turn bc of traffic and accidentally stalled perpendicularly to the road. I couldn't get the car started for 3 mins because of the stupid key and I completely blocked traffic. It was really embarrassing.

If we were talking a few years older I'd go with the Celica, but the new ones are ugly. Don't Preludes get stolen a lot? I think you should get a Supra and give it to me. 🙂
