Wasn't Lieberman the front-runner at one point?

Awesome, my two favorite candidates on top, and hopefully the future President and Vice President.

Very surprising seeing as caucuses tend to nominate the more extreme on both sides.

From what I've been hearing - alot of Kucinich supporters have joined with Edwards. There were rumors all day about that happening - looks and sounds like it has.

Oh, and here in Ankeny's Republican caucus -we had a big-time visitor. Sen. Bill Frist was our speaker, and Chuck Grassley showed up too:D I talked with both of them. Grassley got a short earfull from me but said he's heard it alot since he is chairman of the Finance commitee. He says spending is going to be addressed. I sure hope so!:D

I'm liking the current numbers, although a majority would be nice.(Kind of hard when it's out of 9 candidates, but still not too bad since I like the current top 2)

Dean's got enough money to pound through until the end...even if Clark wins NH and Edwards wins SC...

He didn't campaign in Iowa. Looks like he's not campaigning much anywhere else either...

All the Dean people can go home now. People couldn't understand how he didn't know where he stood on issues. He flipped flop so much that they went with the consistent candidates. There's proof that money doesn't get you everything. I hope all the Dean people here kick themselves for wasting their money and their time. He'll be lucky to get 5th in NH.

As a republican who was licking his chops at Dean, I wish Deano would have won, but I have to give Kerry props. He's a man of honor, and a war hero, and I for one can't say anything bad about him as a person. If he gets the nom, he wuold be a tough opponent for W.

You're 100% wrong. Yes Dean flip flopped, but so did John Kerry. In fact, John Kerry's stance on the war was ridiculously confusing. Dean still has the largest grassroots organization in history. The question will be whether the grassroots can deliver him victories. It didn't in Iowa. I don't think anyone who donated money and/or time to the Dean campaign think they wasted it. He shaped the national debate moreso than any other candidate. He revolutionized the way campaigns should be run. He also did this all before a single vote was cast.

Dean is running a 50-state campaign. I think he'll still win in the end, but of course I could be wrong. Which reminds me of a famous quote:

"What's the difference between a Republican and Democrat? A Democrat sees the possibility that he may be wrong, while a Republican knows he's always right."

Only thing I'm interested is whether if there's anyone in the running right now that can challenge dubya. So far, it doesn't look like it, especially with Dean getting smashed like that.

Trust me...the Democrats have a better chance of winning if they put anyone other than Dean up. He wouldn't have flown with the vast middle in this country. Will Kerry or Edwards? Of the two I think Edwards would have a better chance against Bush in the general election...

I agree on the Edwards comment. He's strong enough to win a southern state, which a Democrat must do.
