Far too invested in this... I have quite a bit of empathy for the defendant after learning the facts at the trial. Oh, I was on his side with the pre-trial facts... which the trial confirmed... but the whole process is quite upsetting.

I can't imagine how the other side feels, empathizing for the deceased.

After seeing how entrenched the TM supporters are (see the "official" thread), if there are any on the jury they wont budge. This is assuming there are also jurors who see through the crap pulled by the State and they wont give in either.

I was pretty sure they were going to go for Aggravated Assault/Battery as a lesser included offense which is what I would have guessed he would be found guilty of, but now that they're going for Manslaughter I'm thinking that he might walk.

If it's anything except acquittal it'll be a mistrial down the road due to the judges behavior.

I see hung jury all the way. There is no way a black jurist would vote to acquit and very unlikely that a white jurist would vote to convict. I am assuming it is a mixed jury so it will be hung. The only way they will ever get a decision is if they get a racially monolithic jury.

Nope, the jury is not in the tank (that I know of), but they are effectively being led to a desired verdict by the judge boxing in the defense, tossing out evidence, coming up with absurd requirements, allowing/not allowing things in the closing statements etc. It's a farce at this point.

It was a miscarriage of justice when they buckled under political and mob pressure and went BACK to arrest him in the first place. The whole thing has just been one big anti gun, anti self defense, anti individual, pro subservience to the state, pro lowest common denominator ghetto populace dog and pony show.

If he's not acquitted of all charges, then our system has failed and I will be fully resolved to never surrender and to resist and fight to the death if ever faced with similar circumstances. If my life is going to be over anyway it will be on my own terms BEFORE I'm disarmed and helpless.

Not Guilty on all counts, anything else would be a slap to the face of our justice system and quite frankly everyone should be ashamed. This should have never went to trial, and the guy is closing with crap, nothing he is saying as any legal meaning. All of it is basically race baiting or playing on emotion, bringing up Jeantel saying she lied but she did it for a reason and can't read cursive (what does that have to do with anything?) is all bull.

It's all half assed shit slinging in a jumbled mess, hopefully the Defense comes out and knocks it out of the park in 5 minutes and takes a seat.
