There will be a backlash against California's public health department and other states departments with accusations of corruption, conflicts of interest, and putting budgets ahead of the public's health. Their authority will become thin and disregarded. 50% chance that this evolves into some form of general disobedience and political anarchy.

Are you going to give a time period or are you just going to leave it up in the air hoping that it will one day come true...maybe when we're all long dead.

CA has so many broken departments. Why focus on the dept of health. What did they do that 50000 other CA depts didnt do?

Do you have a specific rant?

Do you have a specific rant?

There is a specific reason, but its boring to you and no one here cares really. It will be the trigger that makes people realize that public health comes second and public health is nothing but a bullet point for arguments about the things that people really care about, such as budgets and other financial interests. This will strike a nerve with a lot of people because the hypocrisy on this one is almost unbelievable.

Are you trying to kill your own thread by making it boring as hell?

I knew it! They are banning carne asada fries as a public health threat!

SoCal will rebel, the evil empire will burn!

It will get exciting when you see it happening more and more in the news, and you remember that stupid and boring moonbogg thread that predicted it.

FTFY....

You should close this thread its pretty worthless without specifics about why the rebellion is going to happen.

..I got an idea. Lets just overwhelm the already overwhelmed system with more illegal aliens and claim discrimination when it's not funded to the liberals delight!!

California department of health is misleading and lying to the public about the dangers of e-cigarettes. This might seem like a "who cares" kind of thing, but this is a rare instance of paper thin morality on the part of health officials with financial interests shining right through. They are gambling on this one.
Many people have been horribly affected by damage from tobacco products and for California to be literally discouraging smokers from using e-cigarettes is not only irresponsible, its a violation of the trust we placed in their hands and they are motivated to do this by the intense financial pressures weighing on their shoulders and the anti-smoking ideology that they have built up over the decades. They place these interests ahead of public health, and once noticed by enough people, once the mainstream tide begins to shift on this, there will be a significant backlash.

Yeah, 30 years from now.
