Predator remake/reboot

The original with Arnold was awesome...definitely up there with my all-time favorite action flicks. Predator 2 with Danny Glover, not so much. Hopefully this isn't worse than #2.
 
I don't know how you coud improve on the first Predator.

It is just about the perfect sci-fi/horror cheese, right down to the Native-American character who is "one with nature" and seems to "accept" his fate.

Leave it alone.
 
The original Predator was nearly perfect. Predator 2 was junk, and AvP was forgettable. This remake will be garbage and decidedly worse than the original.
 
I dunno, the first Predator had Arnold and Jesse Ventura, this shit is going to have Topher Grace and Adrien Brody, WTF. 😕
 
you just can't fuck with classics like this. predator was the shit when i was a kid. please don't take this away like they did transformers, that's my childhood these asses are messing with!
 
Robert Rodriguez being attached the project gives me a more optimistic outlook on it. Still don't think any reboot/remake can top the original.
 
I remember in the early 90s Predator would be on TV every week. It would usually run from about 8 pm to past my bed time and I use to beg my parents to let me stay up and watch it on a school night because I'd never seen the ending. I didn't understand how much the TV version was cutting out until I rented it one time; the movie is so much better unedited seeing Carl Weathers get shredded and Bill Duke's head explode on top of the camera.

AVP was beyond terribad. Original Predator is a classic good time, and P2 was meh, but could have been worse.
 
Just got back from the premiere... I thought it was pretty good. Maybe not as good as the original, but better than 2 or avp.

Without doing a spoiler, it's definitely meant as a sequel to the first movie, not a re-do.
 
I'm really hoping they don't fuck this up, I'm digging the R rating, not some PG-13 kiddy shit.

The original Predator with Arnold is one of my all time favorites.
