Prebuilt pc for video editing

Hello, I am filmaker that uses adobe premiere pro for editing my short films. I do also enjoy gamingfrom time to time for games like fallout. I don't want to build a pc so don't try to talk me into doing so. I need some prebuilt pc for around $2000. Any recommendations would help. Thanks.

Are you located in the US? They use $ in NZ, AU and Canada as well, you know.. And it wouldn't be the first time someone cites a USD budget for a build in India or Eastern Europe...

Do you need to include the monitor and other peripherals into that $2K budget, or just the PC itself?

premier likes cores, and it likes CUDA.

what's your time frame? i ask because broadwell-e processors should be right around the corner, and those will be improved over current haswell-e processors.

that said, this woulnd't be a bad box to start with:

Looking at Newegg, I have a few suggestions:

1. You could go with a cheap, boutique-built, but highly-rated $1350 ABS system.

2. Or you could go with a marginally better $1600-after-rebate brand-name Lenovo system.

3. There's also this $1725 everything-but-the-kitchen-sink ABS system, which I would say is very much worth its price if it lives up to its promises, but which is back-ordered.

add another SSD for swap and you're probably golden with that thing. just hide in in a closet so you don't have to see it

I would just nip the power feed to the LEDs in the fans, or just change them, then it would look a lot like an older HP workstation.

Looks like ABS systems are backed by a mere 1 year warranty by default. I think it'd be good to invest into the onsite extended repair plan, 3 or 4 year ($169 or $199). It's still within your budget, and in case a component fails, you get the PC quickly up and running again. Much lower downtime compared to if you have problems in a custom-built system, and much more hassle-free to service compared to having to create RMA and wait for a replacement part.

I know nothing about building computers but would a new power supply be compatible with this or would i have to swap out multiple things?

i don't think any OEMs use non-standard power supplies anymore. So, most likely, any ATX power supply would be compatible.

Hi,
Apple will most likely announce the latest MACBOOK PRO in June. And you will be able to get your hands on one couple of weeks after the announcment, as usual.

The new MB PRO will include the latest Intel's Broadwell processor which is good for your editing.

Maybe this is a good option for your upcoming buy?
