Preacher needs $60M for new jet

The request goes on to detail that the luxury jet will transport Pastors Creflo and Taffi Dollar and member of the Dollars' church around the globe to help them spread the gospel.

Or, his ass can fly coach and they can spend $59.9 million to help the people who need it. You know those poor that Jesus liked to dote upon so much.

The jet comes with two Rolls-Royce engines, high-speed Internet and two multichannel satellites and allows for a 2½-hour commute from New York to Los Angeles.

"The G650 is the biggest, fastest, most luxurious, longest range and most technologically advanced jet -- by far," according to the site.

I guess proof-reading isn't really in style for news organizations.

Prosperity gospel is a theology that promises wealth and health to those who tithe 10% of their income to the church.
So it's a classic pyramid scheme.

Keep that 10% flowing, too. Jet fuel isn't cheap.

It must be the SR71 version.

The funny thing is that he pays no taxes because supposedly churches are tax-exempt organizations. This guy is in the same vein as Charles Ponzi / Bernie Maddoff... except he is not promising any return on there investment except the supposed good will of 'GOD' 🙂

It's laughable that anyone would give this clown money.

Yea, especially in Georgia! Two words: Eddy Long.

Evangelicals are nuts.

Benny Hinn and his fleet of luxury cars cracks me up. "Hey Benny, how come you buy top end BMWs like other people buy magazines?" - "What? You expect me to drive a Honda or something?!"

Poor guy racked up 2.7mil debt and asked his congregation to fund it.Church attendance down, fewer people interested in christian stuff? How peculiar!

I for one am glad these places are tax exemptwith little to no oversight on their internal finances. Just think of all the poor mansion builders, luxury car dealerships, and private jet firms that would be out in the cold without these righteous capitalists shoppin for jesus.

Making that observation got me kicked out of a bookstore once. The owner and his group of bible studiers were intent on bringing my table into their debate, but took issue with our positions. Apparently that one is just as bad as the horrid notion of the guy they call jesus having sex. Or children. Or siblings.

Funny how the moneychangers have enjoyed a reversal of image in the eyes of the jesus devotees. Don't get me started on the poor. 😉

60 million dollars for 18 people = 3.3 million dollars per person. If a plane ticket cost $10,000 per flight they could have 333 flights per person or 16 flights a year per person for 20 years. God could probably fly them all for 40 million.

Even if he gets the jet he has nothing on the Mormons...

The shocking thing is that many people don't even see how absurd this all is, including him of course and many in his church. Look at the mansion in georgia.

If he wanted his sheep to buy him his own airplane, why didn't he become a politician?

You guys really have a penchant for strangely stupid comparisons, why is that?

Taxpayers pay taxes as a matter of law and responsibility - an idiot gullible enough to fund the schemes of a manipulative figurehead's exorbitant lifestyle does so by his or her own choice. They even see themselves as a flock following a shepherd! Too funny.

By the way, the President doesn't own Air Force One, he kisses it goodbye when he leaves office. Aside from that, doesn't your attempt at a some kind of Gotcha! default as shit on the point that Air Force One is entirely necessary for the guy inside, whereas the conman who should be advocating/practicing care of the poor while at least pretending to be mindful of how hard it is to 'thread a needle with a camel' - that asshead and his family require such luxury items why exactly?

Waaaaa waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....

IF you read about the guys "church" you wouldn't be surprised that he asked and that he will get the 60 million.

I can't find the article now but his church is pretty much claims that if you prey you will get rich. IF you give the 10% to the church you will get richer.

Also he said that god told him to get that plane. that is why he is asking his congregation for it.
