Pre-VESA Local Bus Motherboard & Video Card

plus CA state sales tax. bought it at ATman on Geary in SF

http://www.atmancomputer.com/catalog/default.php

i can definitely recommend them. even if "motherboard" is
mis-spelled on the website.

it's probably the same guy running the place.

this was my first real CAD workstation, for running AutoCAD
9, 10, 11, & 12. it had about 16 MB of RAM. i remember that
cost $500.

so what's the problem ? i can't bring myself to throw it away.

i think i'll frame it and hang it up.

OK hear's a picture

Wish mobo's these days had that much expansion, 8 slots for memory and additional boards, math-co processor...

You can still find boards with plenty of expansion, they just tend to cost a lot more.
For example: This one has 16 RAM slots and room for 2 CPUs.

I knew an artist once who created wall art from old computer components like that stuff.

Add back in the CPUs & some RAM, paint some funky colors on various parts & hang it on the wall, I say!
