ok go gamestop. buy it and play with it 😉. Its a stop watch sale... basically means it is going to end soon 😉. Forgot to mention that I got these 2 games... and IMO they are best 2 games for the ps2. GTA3 just plain out rock! Metal gear 2 is great too. The remote is a real bonus.

Got the deal from .here.

<< omfg this deal is hot as a mofo! too bad I already have a ps2 and gta3 or I'd be all over it >>

I here you... I was like... omfg...

I'd like to buy one, but I'm concerned about the preowned factor. Preowned PS2's are usually littered with problems.

Has anyone bought a Preowned PS2 from Gamestop before?

<< THis seems almost too good to be true, maybe the PS2's were dropped kicked? >>

nah...they were kicked , dropped

btw,...how much does the remote cost?
..also, are there any mods available for the ps2?...so it'll play cdr ps1 games?
do ps1 controllers work on ps2?

Great deal! I check by Gamestop's pre-owned PSX2 section almost everyday. They tend to have 1-day sales on pre-owned PSX2 packages that are really cheap.

<< I wish i knew what model number I'd be receiving, just in case i want to "modify" it 😉 >>

like mine 😉

the cheapest new remotes cost 9.99 at gamestop. Anyway is this a better deal than last weeks Preowned PS2 with Madden 2002, NBA live 2002, Silent Hill 2, Zone of the Enders + Metal gear solid2 trial ed for $249?

I went ahead and bit the bullet. This was too much of a good deal to pass up.

Thanks for posting it, DTBH.

This is so fr#$kin hot!!! I don't have to times to play that much games but I may get this one though... Guys, I do have some back up old PS1 games. What do I have to do to get them to play on PS2??? If this is fine, I think I am in .....

Thanks 🙂

no prob...

I'm really struggling with this.....should i buy or wait till the price drop when the PS2 w/ an integrated HDD and modem comes out.......

Grrr.........😕

Sorry. Can someone give me advice on which bundle is better. I purchased from gamestop.com a Preowned PS2 with Madden 2002, NBA live 2002, Silent Hill 2, Zone of the Enders + Metal gear solid2 trial ed for $249 Last week. Just got it today. Should I return it and get this bundle. I'm new to PS2 games so your advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

BlueAlpha, I'd say that that GTA3 and MGS2 are probably the best games out for the PS2, but why go through the hassle of returning everything, you already have some good games.....and getting those games used or through other means 😉 isn't that much trouble....

btw..what condition was your PS2 in?

I agree

Thanks for the info guys. To my surprise the PS2 system looked fairly new. No dents/scratches. The controler looked good too. The buttons were not worn. Could still see the colored shapes on the buttons(circle, sqaure, .etc) They must clean these things really well. As for the model, I got a version 5 or 6. got one with a R behind the model #. As for the games they all came in their case and had instructions. The disc were all in good condition. I only noticed nba live 2002 with a barely visable scratch. The rest to me were in good condition. Maybe they used that disc scratch remover. They all played and loaded fine. If I had a complaint on the condition of anything they sent me was that two of the case covers had scratches and still had stickers(yellow bar codes) barely stuck on them. But for $249 a PS2 with 4 games and a demo of MGS2 I can't complain. I don't know if I was lucky to get a clean version 5/6. I hope this helps people with some of the their question in terms of condition of the PS2 system and games.
