I've picked up praying mantis' before and they are pretty agressive for the most part... but I have yet to get seriously hurt from one... then again I wouldn't attempt to pick up a mantis larger than my own hand b/c of the tiny razors on their arms. Definately king of the bug world.

they do eat some small snakes..usually while they are still alive and wriggling, I've have seen a few praying mantis capture and eat young brown snakes...which is kinda funny cause the brown snake is very deadly and the young browns usually hunt insects(including mantis's) and small mammals

Though we tend to think of hummingbirds as cute, dainty little things, in reality they make bold and fierce competitors. They don't let their guard down for a moment while defending their territories from other hummingbirds.

why do they make it sound like a hummingbird will eat your face?
