My daughter spent a year at Penn State, University Park. The room mate she had was the filthiest thing we had ever seen. She showered Maybe once a week, wore the same clothes for days and days and smelled like funk. she never needed mousse or hairspray cause her hair was so filthy, it just BENT any way she wanted and it stayed. She had half eaten fast food meals and empty wrappers all over the room, mixed in with her clothes that were clean and dirty and all over the floor. She washed her sheets ONCE during the entire semester. She never went out. She skipped half her classes and stayed home to watch daytime crap like maury or jerry springer. Then she would stay up all night blasting the teevee and slept all the next day.

When Iwould go to visit, I would almost fall over from the smell. I wold tell her point blank... Melissa.. this place stinks.. don't you think you should open a window or clean this room? Hellfire, one time I told her I was gonna call her parents and ask them to come down and clean it. I told her she should be embarrassed to be told by her room mates mom. Nothing ever changed it.

After one semester, my daughter got a single room. Cost me loads of $$$$ but was worth it.
