pqi i-stick works great except for on one computer

I got a 1gig i-stick (white, faster one), works great at work (XP) and on an apple i-book. but it wont work on my home computer (XP). Its Biostar K8NHA (?) Grand with an Athlon 3400+.

Looks like it has the right drivers set, its just freezes up Explorer when i try to access it and I eventually get an error like "cant access due to read/write error".

any ideas?
