I just finished my first build. PQ5 Deluxe, Intel Q9550, Geforce 8600 GTS, Seagate Barracuda HD Vista home deluxe. My build continues to find and intal a floppy drive that is not there. Any ideas to remove it perminatly.

Did you set the floppy to "none" in the bios? If you dont do that, they will still show up in windows even if you didnt plug one in.

Tom, I did not and I will do that. If I later add a floppy drive will it show-up or will I have to go back into the bios and turn it on ?

Yes, if you eventually add one you will have to turn it back on.
