PPPoE question

Before I installed my Linksys DSL/Cable router, I had the DSL modem directly connected to the NIC in my PC. I had to install PPPoE on my system--now that I have the Linksys router between my PC and the DSL modem, I should be able to remove the PPPoE protocol from my PC, correct?

Also...I'm getting 3x what the phone company guaranteed for d/l speeds, but the u/l speeds are 1/2 to 3/4 what they guarantee...any recommended tweaks to fix this?

You have to type the ID and PassWord to the Router?s PPPOE menu.

Then open the Browser Internet Option menu, and make sure that you log on through the LAN connection.

If it works well, you can unInstall all the ?Goodies? that that ISP dished to you.

you can remove the PPPoE software on your machine.
