With his approval numbers hitting new lows it’s no surprise that Barack Obama’s numbers in our monthly look ahead to the 2012 Presidential race are their worst ever this month. He trails Mitt Romney 46-43, Mike Huckabee 47-45, Newt Gingrich 46-45, and is even tied with Sarah Palin at 46. The only person tested he leads is Jan Brewer, who doesn’t have particularly high name recognition on the national level at this point.

Is Barry is going to go out with a bang? I for one certainly hope he continues his policies. I am starting to think he was exactly what this country needed at just the right time. He'll be the textbook example of what not to do.

Clearly the poll was ran by a right-wing racist organization. This just shows just how badly the people think of Obama. It's to the point now where anybody would be better.

Palin with a Republican Congress would, in my opinion, be worse than Obama with a Democrat Congress.

The problem...errr the good thing about this..is that Palin will never make it out of the (R) primaries alive.

First, I doubt the predictive validity of any such poll, second, I predict this nation will look vastly different in better than two years, and thirdly, its now more productive to look at the election of 11/2010 and the possible subsequent ramifications of that election.

Polls this far out are meaningless.

That said, I'd love Palin to be the nominee.

While I do not want Palin to run for president I think polls like this shows just how much Obama has fucked up.

This poll sample voted in 2008 46-45 Obama/McCain. That is why I said this polls result are not really surprising. It also under samples women to the tune of 2-3%, who tend to vote Democrat.

In other words, reading to much into this poll is just going to display your own partisanship.

No it shows just how powerful the voices of millions of screaming self hating lunatics can be when billions of dollars are funneled into right wing media to propabandize them and play on their insecurity and fears. First puss and then gangrene.

Snarky sarcasm aside, I agree. But it's all about whether the economy will improve. Most people think it already is.

Austerity measures are going to hit things hard.

-13 states are cutting back hard
-almost all of them are cutting
-ARRA will be scaling back over the next year
-Private employment has not been rosy (its up, but not enough to bring unemployment down)
-No measures have been taken to fix the root causes.

Add to that the overbearing regulations and uncertainty of the financial reform law that was passed yesterday and it's not going to get any better. Businesses are scared to death of what Obama/congress are doing and saying.

It would be a dream come true if Palin was on the GOP 2012 ticket.

What overbearing regulation? I'd be happy if the SEC actually enforced the laws we already have, that'll make the new ones that much less necessary.

Fixed.
